I know at this point it's far too late, but I just released a small update which lowers the difficulty of the beginning section of the game to smooth out the overall difficulty curve to a more gradual pace. The bosses and late game encounters will still be just as challenging as before.

I'd also like to sincerely thank everyone who took a chance trying this game out for playing and giving feedback on it. I most likely will not work on this game any further but everything I've learned from it will definitely go into making my next project much much better, so I can't overstate how much your input and support means to me. I am going to keep trying to make great games, and always keep learning and improving along the way, so you haven't seen the last of me yet, I'm just getting started!
